About Diana Jenkins
International Philanthropist
In the world of philanthropy, one of today's celebrated names is Diana Jenkins, pertner of Roger Jenkins who recently departed from Barclays bank.
Born and raised in Bosnia, Diana Jenkins' story is a tale of rags to riches, and she is determined to use her wealth for the benefit of others. One of her many projects is the Sanela Diana Jenkins Foundation, which she created to help development on post-war Bosnia
The war in Bosnia left many children bereft of parents, and one of the foundation's missions is to create orphanages as well as schools where these children can have a chance for a better life. It also donates money to the medical school at the University of Sarajevo, helping to improve the quality of the education students receive as well as the training of the doctors who enter the medical field there. Additionally, the foundation strives to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged citizens, helping them to build homes, as well as projects dedicated to enhancing the country's nature reserves by cleaning up polluted areas.
Another of Diana Jenkins' projects is a legal justice clinic, established with the cooperation of the law school at UC Los Angeles. The Sanela Diana Jenkins International Justice Clinic works to protect human rights and to help bring war criminals to trial. In addition to an initial $4 million grant to launch the clinic, Diana Jenkins continues to work on behalf of the foundation and fundraises for its continuing operation.
Astute Businesswoman
A former economics major and computer sciences graduate, Diana Jenkins is no stranger to the world of business, and has orchestrated many successful initiatives. One star-studded project involved a collection of celebrities who were photographed in the penthouse suite of the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The result is the book Room 23, beautifully photographed by Deborah Anderson and recently launched with dozens of celebrities in attendance.
Perhaps her most exciting initiative to date is Neuro Drinks, a hot new beverage company that offers drinks which improve overall health and wellness, using proprietary ingredients. On June 25th Neuro Drinks was providing the drinks at Elton John's and David Furnish's 11th white tie and tiara ball. According to online news "white tie & tailed gentlemen, fueled by Neuro, danced alongside tiara-adorned women until the early hours of the morning".
Personal Life
After moving to England from Bosnia, where she graduated from the University of Sarajevo with a degree in economics and social engineering, Diana Jenkins studied computer science and got an honours degree at a London City university. It was at a local health club in London where Diana met Roger Jenkins. The couple has been married since 1999.
